Dr Sneh Tiwari has called Cairns home for more than 20 years. Dr Sneh is originally from Fiji,  but relocated to Cairns with her husband and daughters for a lifestyle change.

Her main interest has been women’s health and continues to expand her skills and knowledge. Dr Sneh also has extensive experience with indigenous healthcare and refugee healthcare.

Dr Sneh is affiliated with the James Cook University in the GP Training programme and is an AGPAL accredited surveyor. Dr Sneh is the Principal GP at the Cairns Family Medical.

Dr Sneh enjoys travel, gardening and family time.

Dr Ruchi Kulshrestha General Practitioner

Dr Ruchi Kulshrestha has been at the Cairns Family Medical Centre for around 10 years. She relocated to Cairns from the UK with her family, and loves the warm North Queensland weather and lifestyle. Dr Ruchi has interest in chronic disease management, lifestyle management including weight loss management and pain management, women’s health, children’s health, employment medicals and travel medicine including Yellow Fever. Dr Ruchi is also a GP Registrar supervisor with the James Cook University. In her spare time, Dr Ruchi enjoys sight seeing the Cairns region and travelling to new places.

Dr Arvind Tiwari General Practitioner

Dr Arvind Tiwari is a senior GP at the Cairns Family Medical Centre. Dr Arvind relocated from Fiji around 20 years ago and has worked at the medical centre since he moved to Australia.

Dr Arvind interests are in chronic disease management, travel medicine, occupational healthcare and management as well as Mens health and mental health. Dr Arvind is also a GP Registrar supervisor with the James Cook University.

Dr Arvind is a keen gardener and sustains his family with his market garden produce.  Dr Arvind is also a keen environmentalist and has a passion for all things organic and pure.

Dr Fergus O'Reilly General Practitioner

Dr Fergus O’Reilly is a Senior GP at the Cairns Family Medical Centre, having been with the medical centre for more than 25 years. Dr Gus relocated from his Ireland to Australia more than 30 years and loves the North Queensland for its tropical lifestyle and warm weather.

Dr Gus has interests in men’s health, aged care, occupational healthcare including pre-employment medicals, skin cancer checks and excisions, as well as mental health .

Dr Gus likes to travel and has explored many corners of the planet .

Dr Susan Fernandes General Practitioner

Dr Susan Fernandes brings extensive knowledge and experience to the Cairns Family Medical Centre, having worked in various locations in Australia and overseas.

Dr Susan interests are in women’s health including antenatal care, contraception, mental health, and child health. Dr Susan has interest in chronic disease management, and skin cancer checks and excisions.

Dr Susan is an accomplished pianist and artist and shares her artwork with her patients in her consulting room. Dr Susan and her husband enjoy travel both in the North Queensland, Australia and overseas when she can.

Dr Fabio Ballestro General Practitioner

Dr Fabio Ballestro has resided in Cairns for several years now, having relocated with his family from Brazil.

Dr Ballestro has extensive knowledge and experience in skin cancer care and management, including surgical removals, excisions, biopsies and general advise on management of skin. Dr Ballestro also assists patients with chronic disease management.

Dr Ballestro enjoys the great outdoors, and is a keen hiker and bushwalker.

Dr Matthew Kresevic General Practitioner

Dr Matthew Kresevic MBBS has called Cairns his home for his entire life with family roots within the Cairns region for six generations. Having trained locally through James Cook University and having worked at the Cairns Hospital, he is familiar with the varied and unique nature of providing medical care in Tropical North Queensland. Dr Matthew is interested in all aspects of medical care including chronic disease management.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, learning about ancient history, exploring the great outdoors, enjoying the experiences that the Cairns region has to offer with his wife, and is an avid Cairns Taipans supporter.

Dr Gopalapillai Sivasambu General Practitioner

Dr Gopal Sivasambu is a General Practitioner who consults in our practice every Monday. His special interests include skin cancer and excision, minor procedures, diving medicals, and occupational health including pre-employment medicals, transport medicals, and work injuries.

Dr Kyaw (Joe) graduated from University of Medicine Myanmar in 2016 and worked part time as Medical Officer before moving to Bundaberg in 2019. Dr Joe worked at the Bundaberg Base hospital for about 3 years before started GP training in 2022. Dr Kyaw received his FRACGP in 2024 before moving to Cairns Family Medical Centre. His special interest includes chronic diseases management and sport injuries. Dr Joe speaks English and Burmese.

Dr David Harvey Clinical Psychologist

Dr David Harvey is a clinical psychologist who has worked in schools, universities and as an expert witness in sundry court systems since entering the profession in the late 1970’s. His role has included significant time in psychology based research and in the training of student psychologists, together with leadership roles in university based service centres. Dr Harvey presently focusses on the remediation of mental health concerns such as major depression and anxiety related disorders.
